The three and a half acres that make up Huffnagle Park were given outright by Judson E. Wagner and Estel Wagner, with the proviso that the grounds are not to be used for gain or profit. The land was deeded to Quarryville Borough in 1945, with the understanding that improvements would be made within three years or [the land would] revert to the former owners.
Mr. And Mrs. H W Huffnagle offered to pay for the development of the park which was dedicated in their honor June 3, 1951.
A $25,000 thrust fund with income for future use and development of the park, was willed by Huffnagle at his death in 1957.
